XML, S1000d and Metamorphose/I3 TM Training
This week marks an important beginning for the Shoshone Information Technology Company (SITCO). The SITCO staff were involved in two separate training sessions conducted by Synesis7 of Butte, Montana and the United States Marine Corps. Andrew Ellmaker of Synesis7 taught XML, S1000d and Metamorphose/I3 TM to five company staff. This new capability gives SITCO the ability to perform a complete end-to-end conversion to an S1000d compliant product that can be viewed as an Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM). SITCO is a licensed holder of Synesis7 technologies and a subcontractor to the company for NAVAIR conversion projects. In the second training representatives from the Marine Corps taught ten staff members from SITCO and partner tribal companies Chippewa Tribal Industries (CTI) and MHA Systems of North Dakota to correct XML text characters and broken links, and to insert hotspots into CGM graphic files. This session gave SITCO staff a new understanding of the needs of the Marine customer, introduced new software tools and increased knowledge and capabilities in CGM graphics. SITCO is extremely appreciative to the efforts of Mr. Ellmaker and Ms. Vicky Hagan representing Synesis7 and the USMC respectively, for delivery of the training opportunity.
Testimonials
The SITCO group is hardworking, persistent and works with the customer until they
have things right. They were communicative and thorough during the project and saved
us a lot of time.
Regards,
Paul
