SITCO'S BEGINNINGS
The Eastern Shoshone Tribe, feeling the need to start a technology based company in 2002, they decided to create SITCO, Shoshone Information Technology Company. SITCO was started in 2003 doing graphic data conversion, in association with the United States Government, which is still an important department within the company. The success of data conversion has enabled the company to expand into data entry services, IT support services, network management, graphic design services, printing, and web development services. The future looks good for this tribally owned Technology Company.
The Shoshone Information Technology Company, Inc. is a for-profit company that provides commercial information technology services to both public and private sectors. SITCO specializes in a wide range of information technologies, including data conversion, graphic design and printing, IT management services, network planning and maintenance.
Shoshone Rose Casino opened it's doors in the Fall of 2007 with 130 Slot machines, and a 15 machine non-smoking section. Currently SRC offers 164 slot machines, with a 27 machine non-smoking section, as of June 2008. Food and non-alcoholic beverages are available everyday during hours of operation of the deli, 8am to 2pm. Casino Gaming hours of operation are Monday thru Friday, 8am - 2pm, and 24 hours Friday thru Sunday. The Shoshone Rose Casino website will become available in the summer of 2008. |
Shoshone Newsletter is a monthly publication indented for informational purposes of the tribal members on and around the reservation. Eastern Shoshone Business Council conducts general council meetings when needed at the Rocky Mtn Hall, on saturdays around 10:00 am, with a feast after to celebrate. All tribal members are invited to attend. |
